Our friend indie emo post hardcore band YOUNG, PLANETARY (see our features here and here) have unveiled their new EP called “I Am the Night and You’re the Sunrise” on Hidden Home Records! The Boise based band continue luring in with fine-crafted, multi-style melodies and pleasurable textures, before blindsiding the listener with a sudden downpour of muscular riffs and more extreme dynamics. It all makes for a really satisfying treat, so don’t miss out on it.
The band commented on the closing track “Teeth Fall Out”:
“Teeth Fall Out is a song I’ve had written for about 3 or 4 years. At the time, it stood out like a sore thumb because I was writing more poppy sounding stuff. But it’s cool because without me even realizing it, the song really set the tone for the darker sounding material I’d end up writing a few years later and into now. Also, in the studio I realized it was in a key that I couldn’t quite get to vocally. So, we put [my girlfriend] Emily in the hot seat and ended up with a final product that I think is really special.”
