Following the release of BETTER OFF‘s 2013 debut LP (I Think) I’m Leaving, the album’s stirring, well-crafted songs caught the attention of fans and critics alike, and felt remarkably mature for a young band. Now the quartet are ready to carve out a home on their new label with the release of a brand new Arun Bali (SAVES THE DAY) produced 7″ single “Meth Head” on October 27th. BETTER OFF have also secured a coveted spot on the fall GLAMOUR KILLS tour alongside NEW FOUND GLORY, WE ARE IN CROWD and FIREWORKS, as well as dates with REAL FRIENDS and more (all tour dates below).
Singer/guitarist Luke Granered says of the band’s signing to Equal Vision, “We are so excited to be teaming up with Equal Vision Records. From Circa Survive and Coheed to Bane and Converge, this label has done releases for almost all of my favorite bands.”
The members of Better Off are no stranger to the Nashville alternative rock scene, having played in various other projects in the area in recent years. Comparisons to the likes of Jimmy Eat World, Brand New, and Knapsack seem fitting, yet Better Off provide enough of their own take on the sound to create something unique.
700 clear purple, and 300 clear orange copies of the “Meth Head” 7″ will be available, with preorders expected to launch in the coming weeks.
Better Off is Luke Granered (guitar/vocals), Jon Dalman (bass), Charles Miller (guitar) and Hunter Walls (drums).
