Chris Hahn‘s new album ‘Low Life’ is out today and we’re stoked to offer you some good vibes with his new video for the single “Always Have Your Back”. On top of being a folk punk album at heart, the album has some pop punk vibes to it, with a message of hope at its core that embraces all the values that are held to the DIY punk scene.
Portland-based punk rock singer/ songwriter Chris Hahn is best known for fronting the melodic punk band Old Cross and producing bands around the Pacific NorthWest with his label Zomie Media Records. Chris has been running around stages and touring for the last decade and a half while releasing a variety of solo albums that range from folk punk to ska and reggae influenced material.
With his fourth album Low Life he introduces hints of rock and roll guitar elements while keeping a heavy blend of folk and pop punk anthemic choruses. Low Life paints a picture of growing up in rural Southern California and the balance of becoming a father and a touring musician.
The album is out 9/17 following three singles, “When the Skeletons Bloom”, “Fight Song” and title track “Low Life”. Along with the album release is a new music video for the song “Always Have Your Back”.
– ” Filming that video brought back memories of skating to your friends house after school to jam in a deathly hot garage for 3 hours then heading to 7/11 for an Arizona Iced Tea… and the realization that nothing’s changed in that aspect really besides it’s after work and we’re grabbing drinks, haha! ” – Chris hahn
Chris is hoping to get back on the road 2022 as soon as all the madness subsides. Until then, make sure to catch his album release show Friday 9/17 at The Ship Tavern in Portland, OR. Follow all the album release festivities on IG @chris_hahn_oc and stream the new album Low Life everywhere today!
