Vox Project and Araki Records are co-releasing a new EP from Saint Étienne, France nose rock veterans NOSE IN THE NOSE and to celebrate, we have teamed up to give you a special premiere of their live performance of the EP, recorded right before the COVID madness at NNY #4, Ursa Minor, in Saint-Etienne, on December 07th 2019. To make it even more interesting and keep you more busy, the band sat down with us to share their top 3 live performances.
Formed in 2004, Saint-Etienne’s NOSE IN THE NOSE released their first demo in 2006, and unveiled their first album CRASH, in 2012. The trio is rare on stage, but makes each of its performances even more dazzling than the previous one. And it was during their brilliant concert at NNY Fest that they whispered the existence of a new EP, freshly packed. A year later, with the record still in its box (did you said «pandemic» ?) we finally decided to take care of our it, so it could participate in the soundtrack of our dilapidated world.
Scheduled for a release on vinyl next March 31th, RAW, recorded on tapes at JP «202» Marsal (Magnétique Audio), will feature 4 new Noise-Rock (‘n Roll) / Post-Hardcore nuggets, as the trio know so well shape them. We will therefore find the essentials: distorted bass, dissonant guitar, martial drums and megaphonic vocals, as essential tools for the realization of these powerful hits.
All you have to do is find a tight cellar to play it at full volume, while we all wait to find the band live (a timing that shouldn’t change too much from the usual).
