FRIENDS have revealed the music video for their song “Mind Control”.
The track comes from the band’s forthcoming debut studio album entitled “Manifest!”, which is due out June 5th on Fat Possum Records.
After beaming out of Bushwick in 2011 with two buzzworthy singles and videos plus a reputation for turning live gigs into spontaneous DIY parties (and vice versa) Brooklyn quintet Friends will release their debut album Manifest!, June 5th on Fat Possum Records.
The album was produced by the band β singer Samantha Urbani, multi-instrumentalists Lesley Hann, Matthew Molnar, and Nikki Shapiro, and drummer Oliver Duncan. They recorded its twelve tracks between last summer and this spring with engineer Daniel Schlett at Strange Weather studios in Brooklyn.
Manifest! aims both to live up to and to defy the promise of those first singles β βFriend Crushβ and βIβm His Girlβ β over the course of a thirty-eight minute long player. β A new track, βMind Control,β mixed by Grammy winner Paul Epworth, made its worldwide debut this week, as the βHottest Record in the Worldβ on the UKβs premiere primetime radio show, BBC Radio Oneβs Zane Lowe.
