Ramona, California independent punk rock record label has announced a heartfelt initiative called Fund Music, Fight Cancer to generate positivity and support those affected by cancer. Inspired by Blink-182 frontman Mark Hoppus’s battle with cancer, the label aims to contribute to the cause by providing financial assistance to talented and carefully selected artists in creating new music within the genres reminiscent of bands like Blink-182, New Found Glory, Senses Fail, and Taking Back Sunday.

The label’s owner, deeply impacted by the profound effects of cancer within his own family, expressed the motivation behind this initiative: “Mark Hoppus is the reason I’ve been in this business… He’s the reason Pacific Ridge Records exists. That’s why I know I have to contribute something more.” By funding new music projects and redirecting all Spotify stream revenue from this content to the Cancer Research Institute, Pacific Ridge Records aims to make a difference and support cancer research efforts.

The initiative also ensures that any remaining revenue will be reinvested into recording additional new songs by unsigned but highly vetted artists. This approach provides independent musicians with much-needed financial support while injecting positivity into a world often burdened by the harsh reality of cancer. The label’s goal is not only to share new music with the world but also to extend a helping hand to those in need.

While acknowledging the uncertainties surrounding this endeavor, the owner believes that releasing new music and supporting cancer research are significant steps towards fostering a more positive environment. The initiative serves as a beacon of hope, channeling the power of music and artistic expression to combat the adversity brought about by cancer.

With “Fund Music, Fight Cancer,” Pacific Ridge Records seeks to honor Blink-182’s legacy, contribute to the fight against cancer, and make a lasting impact on the lives of those affected by this devastating disease.

The initiative stands as a testament to the profound influence of music and the determination to bring about positive change in the world. Please support it, donate, and share with your friends.
