Gritty punk rockers AUDIBLE JOES release new video for ‘Speaker Submission’

1 min read

irish punk rockers AUDIBLE JOES have premiered a new song and video called “Speaker Submission”. The track is taken from their sophomore album Irrational Anthems, slated for a self-release on July 14th. Shot and directed by Daragh Twomey Film & Media, the video is available below.

The Emerald Isle quartet doesn’t sound like your typical Irish punk band, swapping out bagpipes for gritty guitars and heavily melodic hooks. Their blistering and abrasive tunes are defiant and introspective, a recipe for some good punk that I’d love to catch a dirty club.

Frontman Michael Stone offered the following:

“The song was written after a particularly scary case of sleep paralysis. The episode involved being strapped into a chair with a loud set of speakers pumping an endless wave of white noise at me. After regaining control from the episode I realized that I can’t take what I do for granted. The white noise was deafening and it threatened everything that I love in life and work towards. Sound is all I have. The song itself is inspired by taking solace and comfort in the music that drives and you and keeps you moving forward.”

Premiered over at New Noise Magazine.
