Grungy emo alt rockers OVERSIZE return with new single “Taste”

1 min read

Fresh off their recent performance at Outbreak Fest, OVERSIZE are back with new singlee off of their upcoming EP ‘Into The Ceiling’ which drops next month on the 21st via Church Road in Europe and Quiet Panic in North America.

For a band that’s been around for a short time, they’ve really squeezed a lot in. Since 2021 they’ve released their debut EP ‘In Balance’ and stand alone single ‘Drive’, as well as performing at this year’s already legendary Outbreak Festival and sharing the stage with the likes of Fiddlehead, Higher Power and Puppy to name a few.

Oversize draw inspiration not only from American alt-rock big hitters such as The Smashing Pumpkins and Dinosaur Jr, but also from closer to home in the UK’s home-grown sounds of New Wave, Shoegaze and even 90s Britpop.

Formed just before the pandemic took hold, the alternative 5-piece used the unprecedented free time afforded by lockdown to forge a cohesive and unique sound with a litany of boutique guitar pedals, a rock-solid rhythm section and topped off with huge vocal melodies.

Since the release of the single ‘Drive’ and the subsequent debut EP ‘In Balance’ in Late 2021, Oversize already have an impressive amount of live shows under their belt playing across the UK, playing such festivals as Outbreak and Burn It Down and supporting the likes of Puppy, Phoxjaw, Static Dress, Higher Power, Fiddlehead, Narrow Head, and Your Demise to name a few.

‘Into The Ceiling’ shows the band truly showing off their songwriting abilities, with tracks like the lead single ‘Taste’ which is sure to be stuck in your head for days.
