After a long hiatus from the studio, Australian hardcore mainstays, Iron Mind, have made a triumphant return, releasing their latest two-track single, “Assume Your Ultimate Form“, now available on Flatspot Records. Marking their first new music in almost a decade since their 2014 self-titled record, the band delivers a potent combination of raw aggression and groove-driven guitars, underscored by pragmatic lyrics.
The songs, “Assume Your Ultimate Form” and “Spiral of Debt“, come loaded with the kind of energy fans have come to love from Iron Mind. A clear indication of the band’s evolution, these tracks herald a promising future direction. Recorded in the heart of Melbourne at The Black Lodge Studio with Sam Johnson, and mixed by Taylor Young at The Pit, “Assume Your Ultimate Form” is already creating ripples in the hardcore scene. Fans can stream the single here and can secure their own copy on cassette via Flatspot Records or through Last Ride Records in Australia.
A highlight of the release is the riveting music video for “Spiral of Debt”, which can be viewed below.
Iron Mind is gearing up to hit the road, supporting No Warning on an Australian tour.
After their recurring one-off shows in Melbourne, this marks the band’s first comprehensive tour since 2014.
Their live history boasts headline tours across Australia and notable supporting gigs for bands like Backtrack and Harm’s Way during their 2014 US stint.
Shattering the confines of nostalgia, Iron Mind is returning to the stage with rejuvenated vigor, bringing to life their latest tracks with characteristic intensity.
