Hardcore punks SEE IT THROUGH reflect on grief and growth in the title track from their debut EP

1 min read

The Arizona-based hardcore band See It Through is premiering the title track from their upcoming EP What’s Behind Us Never Fades, out April 14 via New Age Records. The song, also called “See It Through,” is a direct and personal introduction to the group’s sound and intent, rooted in late ’80s youth crew and melodic hardcore influences.

Originally formed through long-distance voice memos and conversations, See It Through took shape once Brian returned to Tucson and began assembling the lineup. With lyrics shaped around vulnerability, grief, and personal transformation, the band frames their debut not as nostalgia, but as a mission.

“This record is a letter and mantra to ourselves of the people we aspire to be,” the band said. “We are seekers, who are on a journey to continue to learn about ourselves and find the strength to overcome fear, insecurity and self doubt.”

The single captures that sense of internal reckoning with steady urgency—sharp instrumentation and a lyrical core that leans into discomfort rather than avoiding it.

They recorded What’s Behind Us Never Fades in January 2025 with Zachary Rippy at Sound Signal Audio. For the band, the process felt more like a commitment to a set of values than a product. “When we work to become the best versions of ourselves, we can be of service to others in hopes of making a positive difference in this world,” they added.
