‘The Beautiful Shame’ is the new video from Leeds based melodic punks, THE HUMAN PROJECT. Taken from THE HUMAN PROJECT’s debut album ‘Origins, which is out now through all usual retailers, ‘The Beautiful Shame’ shows the bands displeasure at the current situation surrounding football and it’s mindless minority. Particularly apt with recent events on the Paris Metro.
“We wrote ‘The Beautiful Shame’ as a cry of despair at the bigoted, tribal, racist thugs which still, in 2015, manage to somehow ruin a nice day out for everyone else, and are genuinely dangerous to the safety of totally innocent people who simply want to see a game of football (and pay increasingly insane amounts to do so).” Says guitarist, Luke Yates.
He continues,”It mainly questions “who’s to blame” for allowing this macho bullshit to continue, and suggests that the powers that be within the sport and within the police often fail to draw the line where friendly rivalry ends and violent thuggery, blatant racism and, essentially, organised crime, begin.
