Liège instrumental post rockers ILYDAEN release new boundary-expanding record “Veil”

1 min read

Belgian instrumental post rockers ILYDAEN have recently released their new LP called “Veil” on dunk!records! The new effort takes the listener through strength, melancholy, and cathartic moments and despite there’s not too much of unpredictability in the “Veil”, it feels overwhelming, inspiring, and at times exhausting. There’s actually a pattern for modern post rock records that try to explore, re-iterate and take different angles on the well-explored form, where some of the creators somehow manage to constantly create solid contributions. That’s exactly the case of these guys. See their official word on the record below and scroll down to dive into the new chapter of their delivering, freeing saga.

With this album, we tried to complete any philosophical idea that is perceived or felt during the listening of our music.

In the first two pieces (Digressions & Maze), we wanted to transfigure our thoughts about time and space, and through Veil, we wanted to decline us, characters of those previous universes.

We’re not trying to create a new encyclopedia or school of thoughts, we just want to leave everyone interpretate whatever they want while they’re discovering our music and bits of lyrics.

The final desire we pursue is to have the chance to play our songs in front of the crowd and share our energy and sweat.

Catch ILYDAEN live at this year’s dunk!festival in Belgium, which is onlky one week away!
