MAD SEASON to release an album with unreleased material

1 min read

Blabbermouth.net is reporting that a MAD SEASON album with never-before heard material is in the works.

The band’s guitarist Mike McCready (who is also in PEARL JAM) has said that he has found a singer to record vocals for the still-unreleased MAD SEASON songs, and according to drummer Barrett Martin of SCREAMING TREES, the singer is Mark Lanegan (also a member of SCREAMING TREES), who co-wrote two songs on MAD SEASON‘s only studio album “Awake” (1995) and appeared as a guest vocalist on “Long Gone Day”.

It’s unclear whether the release of the “unfinished” MAD SEASON material will lead to the band reuniting. A near-reunion happened last May at a benefit show at the Showbox Theatre in Seattle, Washington.
