Madrid’s neocrust beast SVDESTADA unveils dystopian moods in evilish, yet melodic new LP “Azabache”

February 5, 2021
1 min read

Madrid, Spain based SVDESTADA have just unveiled the full stream of their intense new album “Azabache”, a work stripped of colors, masks and labels. Eleven songs about the lack of freedom, gregariousness, dogmatism and falsehood that also immers itself in deep pains such as abandonment, nostalgia and loneliness. An album that issues a claim and a general appeal that advocates a return to the original rebellion of Punk, Hardcore and Do It Yourself.

IDIOTEQ (pronounce “idiotec”) is a phonetic transcription of the word Idioteque – the act of suddenly going into a crazy, seizure like state. A vision of a society, where people are increasingly more obsessed with pointless technology, selfishness and mindless entertainment than life itself.
