Austrian punk rock label SBÄM Records will release new acoustic EPs by Russ Rankin, SNUFF, The Static Age this coming Sping and today the label released the first taste in a form of a 5-track sampler featuring live acoustic tracks from SNUFF, Russ Rankin from Good Riddance, The Static Age, The Von Tramps and singer/songwriter Chris Magerl and the Burning Flags.

The songs were recorded live in the Klangfarbe Shop in Vienna and mixed by producer Kay Petersen (Rantanplan).

The short sampler kicks off with a vigorous, yet nostalgic track from The Von Tramps (check out our special feature on ‘female and feminist fueled tracks in early 2022’ HERE), and proceeds with great follow ups: The Static Age and Andrew Paley‘s stripped performance of the band’s hit single “Amphibian”, Russ Rankin‘s “Considering The End” (off of his brilliant LP Come Together Fall Apart), Snuff‘s “One Of Those Days” (reworking one of their 2022 tracks released on this lengthy named LP) and Chris Magerl & the Burning Flags‘ “Whisky & Beer”.

The new EP from Russ Rankin has been announced for February 15th, followed in March by The Von Tramps and in April by the post-punk band The Static Age, led by singer/songwriter Andrew Paley.
