The lyrics follow the unwitting survivors of a massive ecological disaster. The last human and synthetic alive, both in relative safety aboard the only remaining ark jettisoned from a dying Earth, they begin to record their memories of the world they left in turmoil by humanity’s shortsightedness and greed.
