NINE INCH NAILS’ Trent Reznor writes a new song for the “Call of Duty” franchise

Trent Reznor, the founder and only “official member” of NINE INCH NAILS, recently told USA Today he has written the new theme song for the latest edition of the hugely successful “Call of Duty” computer game franchise.

Reznor describes the track as an “aggressively sounding” piece of guitar, bass and drums-based rock, which plays off the game’s storyline. He also says, “There is a lot of reservation and angst and sense of loss and regret and anger bubbling under the surface. So it didn’t make sense to have a gung ho patriotic feeling kind of theme song. It has to feel weighty.”
