NO CURE just dropped their latest track, a cover of FOUNDATION’s “Purple Heart,” to mark Edge Day 2024. It’s a nod to one of the Southeastern hardcore legends that directly influenced the band from Birmingham, Alabama.

NO CURE has been around since 2021, making waves in the straight edge metalcore and hardcore scene, and FOUNDATION is clearly a major reason for their existence.

“It is Edge Day 2024. We hope you enjoy our cover of FOUNDATION’s ‘Purple Heart’ we prepared to celebrate,” the band shared.

They recorded the track in June 2024 in a cabin in the woods, capturing a raw, intimate feel fitting for a tribute like this.

FOUNDATION’s 2011 release had a massive impact on the Southern straight edge and hardcore community, and NO CURE’s cover feels like a full-circle moment.

The band’s excitement about FOUNDATION playing FYA 2025 is hard to miss. “We had no idea they’d ever play again, so you can imagine our excitement when they annthe upcoming ounced FYA 2025.”

The show is set for October 19th at Culture Shock, with doors opening at 5 PM. Tickets are $15 in advance and $20 at the door.
