Recorded in Brooklyn with Jeff Berner and mastered by Will Yip (Turnstile, Title Fight, Anthony Green), it’s available to stream now on Spotify and Bandcamp. Influenced in equal parts by modern acts like Nothing and Narrow Head and ’90s titans like Dinosaur Jr. and My Bloody Valentine, Glimmer’s sound incorporates elements of grunge, shoegaze, and hook-driven college rock.
“Homesick” comes as a follow-up to previous single “Buried,” released earlier this year, and showcases the band’s heavier, grungier side.
Glimmer has two back-to-back Brooklyn shows coming up this week: Friday at The Meadows (presented by Saint Vitus) and Saturday at 18th Ward Brewing. You can find the band at @glimmerisaband for additional show announcements & other updates.
Upcoming shows:
6/7: Saint Vitus presents @ The Woodshop — w/ Dosser, Wax Girl
6/8: New Colossus presents @ 18th Ward Brewing — Shoegaze Party w/ Iceblynk & more
6/22: Kingston, NY @ Big Cat — w/ New Vision, Pay For Pain (members of Tigers Jaw)
