Pain Of Truth, hailing from New York, is recognized for their raw hardcore music, getting the audience right into the moshing mood. They recently unveiled “You And Me,” where they collaborate with Freddy Cricien from Madball.
The track’s strong riffs, combined with Michael Smith and Cricien’s alternating vocal lines, particularly the declarative “it’s kill or be killed,” suggest this could become a mosh pit go-to. This track is the third single from their debut album, Not Through Blood, launching on September 8th through DAZE.
Since their rise in the 2020s, Pain Of Truth has been making waves in the hardcore scene, noted for their compelling live performances and impactful lyrics. After their 2020 EP No Blame…Just Facts and the 2021 split with Age Of Apocalypse, Not Through Blood displays the band at their most honed. The album boasts thirteen guest features, including names like Scott Vogel (Terror) and Brendan Garrone (Incendiary).
The LP was produced and mixed by Andy Nelson at Chicago’s Bricktop Studio and mastered by Bill Henderson at Azimuth Recordings. The album is up for vinyl and CD pre-order via DAZE and digitally on Bandcamp.
