Paris melodic punk rockers PENNY WAS RIGHT share debut single “Happy Machine”

1 min read

Paris skate punks PENNY WAS RIGHT have released their first single from their their upcoming new album of the same name, to be released on December 10th, 2021.

The band delivers an energetic and unpretentious puk rock at the crossroads of Californian punk rock and pop rock, especially with Dalia’s voice and her knack for vocal sounds and twists reminding of P!NK. Influenced by the icons of mainstream punk rock (Blink 182, Sum41, Billy Talent), Penny Was Right is also inspired by bands like Rise Against, Alter Bridge, The Distillers or even Bring Me the Horizon.

“Happy Machine“ is a metaphor about reconstruction from a crisis, both in the lyrics and in the music video visualizer. “In order to rebuild yourself, sometimes you need to “destroy everything“ around you to better rise from your ashes.” – says the band. “In order be reborn happier, get rid of all your past demons and everything that you hang around and hold on to. It’s hard, but it relieves and allows you to move forward into your new life.”

The HAPPY MACHINE LP will be released by German label Upstartz Records, distributed by Sounds of Subterrania.
