WISDOM IN CHAINS
We are so happy that Pennsylvania’s hardcore heroes Wisdom in Chains are part of Persistence 2020.
With their bruising rhythms and slamming breakdowns, anthems made for action on the dancefloor,
they are returning to Europe first time after their last album release “Nothing In Nature Respects Weakness”,
as they had to take a break for a while. The legendary heavy weight will soon make all walls dripping with sweat again.
Street Dogs
A rare chance to see them in Europe again, as one of the best American punk rock acts of the last quarter century. They showing the power of a genre that continues to thrill and thrive after all these years. The Bostonians are one of the few, who own a stage from the first moment with complete control, this well-oiled and much loved punk rock machine never fails to bring their A game when it comes to their live shows.
Mike McColgan’s voice is still the best for me out there for this genre. So straight and clear, but always traveling with you and gives you always a so friendly feeling. All this armed with a battery of insanely catchy songs and sing along´ s that define the Boston street punk. They are the alternative to the alternative so to say! can´t wait for Street dogs Punk Rock n Roll!
H2O
What a statement, what a positive enjoyment of life radiates from this Five Piece Band in our hearts and in our minds. From beginnings in the early 90’s H2O have developed their brand into a genre leading Hardcore outfit. I could not foresee that back in the days even I did not need much persuasion to move my old friend Tobi to go on stage in Hannover – Glocksee to play one or was it two songs even for fun just before Sick Of It All he and the rest worked as roadies back then.
But even then it was amazing to see him on stage catching the audience from the very beginning! Toby´s isn’t just an inspirational performer, but an inspirational person. His energy on stage is insane, the band is so tight, they delivered in abundance positivity, and just being your-damn-self, family, friends and love. You’ll leave full of optimism, you’ll feel a few inches taller and walk with a spring in your step at least for the next few.
AGNOSTIC FRONT
What should we write about a band where everything was already written and everyone should have something at home of them. And through the film “Godfathers of Hardcore“ and Rogers book “My Riot: Agnostic Front, Grit, Guts & Glory“ now there is also feed with very private impressions and emotions.
Simply no-holds-barred Agnostic Front is pure HARDCORE! NEW YORK CITY as it tasted and how the lower east side was! Loved it! Where every show turns to a hell’s kitchen everyone sings along raising their fists in the air when “United we stand divided we fall Gotta gotta go” roars through the hearts and throats from wall to wall. At the same time, Roger and Vinnie still criss-cross the stage and everyone sings along like there is no tomorrow. I must honestly say my favorite photo will forever be the back of the “Victim in Pain” record. it already expressed this emotional world and has not lost its effect for me until today.
