Polish post metallers from BLINDEAD hit the road with LOCH VOSTOK

May 12, 2015
1 min read

After parting way with their longtime vocalist Patryk Zwoliński in April this year and joining their forces with Jan Galbas of AMPACITY and OCTOPUSSY for the band’s new record, BLINDEAD are about to hit the road with Sweden’s LOCH VOSTOK! Check out the details below.

Jan will play guitar and will handle vocals together with Matteo Bassoli. The band commented:

We’re closing to the end of the writing process and the studio sessions will start on the 1st july. This time we will record live at Raven Studio in Poland. The release is planned for the beginning of 2016 via Mystic Production.

22.08 – (D) Essen, Turock Open Air
23.08 – (NL) Hoofddorf/Amsterdam – Podium Duycker
24.08 – (UK) London, Garage
26.08 – (CH) Pratteln, Z7
28.08 – (E) Barcelona, Razz 3

02.09 – (CZ) Praha, Nova Chmelnice
03.09 – (PL) Wrocław, Firlej
04.09 – (PL) Warszawa, Progresja
05.09 – (PL) Gdynia, Ucho

Here’s the official statement of the departure of the band’s vocalist Patryk Zwoliński:

‘Dear fans, it is time for a very serious change in Blindead. After 12 years of friendship and working on everything this band is today, having recorded 4 albums, 1 EP, a live album, and having played numerous gigs, we are parting our ways with our singer Patryk Zwoliński. Both us and Patryk have felt, for a long time, that things stopped working the way we wanted. Our expectations have risen because we want to push the band forward, play more gigs and work on the music more intensively. Both the distance and various life situations started to make things complicated. The major issue is that for the last several years we have been seeing Patryk literally just at gigs and in the studio. We do not want to blame it on anyone since we perfectly understand that not everyone can afford the commitments associated with playing in a band like Blindead.

It all made us start to question the sense of further collaboration, though, and we eventually reached a point where there is, sadly, no other option. We are nonetheless very grateful to Patryk for everything we have created together and we wish him all the best!

All the same, we want you to know that we are now intensively working on our fifth studio album. New material is pretty advanced by now and it is going to be special. Currently we are working together with our friend Jan Galbas (Ampacity, Octopussy), who is participating in the composing of this album and who is going to be in charge of the recording session in the summer of 2015.’
