Pop punk rockers AMERICAN TELEVISION release new music, teasing new LP on Wiretap!

1 min read

AMERICAN TELEVISION will be releasing their debut LP, Watch It Burn, on Wiretap Records January 24, 2020. The Washington D.C. area band put out a music video for Standing Still in November and followed that up with a second single last week, titled Great Divide. Both songs available to stream through Wiretap Records Youtube channel and you can check them out below.

You can pre-order the LP here, expected to ship early-mid January.

“Similar to Glory Days by Bruce Springsteen, or even Glory Days by Pkew Pkew Pkew, Standing Still is a song about being stuck in the past and reliving accomplishments from your youth rather than focusing on your present and future. The world is moving a mile a minute these days, probably headed for complete disaster, so being focused on that big game from high school or trivial accomplishments from your college days seems so short sighted. Forget the glory days, we need you today.”

“Everyday, real people are caught in the crossfire of partisan battles on all sorts of issues. We’re all struggling, and some have it harder than we could ever imagine. Great Divide attempts to shine a light on the simple fact that we’re all just trying to survive, and the best thing we can do for each other is lead with a little empathy.
