Post punk / cold wave act PALISSADE premiere new cinematic video; tease new LP

1 min read

Québec alt post punk band PALISSADE have announced the release of their self-titled debut LP to be launched on February 28, 2020, at the Scanner Bistro (291 Rue Saint-Vallier E, Quebec). The band have premiered the music video M’éloigner and two songs as a pre-release to the upcoming album. Watch above!

The Palissade LP presents eight post-punk songs with heavy cold wave influences, some energetic and danceable songs, and others cold and introspective. The melancholic soundscapes, ethereal vocals and frantic rhythms intertwine to create the distinctive sound signature of the band. Recorded at Pantoum in the summer of 2019, the album represents Palissade’s most accomplished work.

The music video M’éloigner presents a tremulous contemplative landscape where the images perfectly support the frenetic rhythms and somber melody of the song. The protagonist, in a state between fear and insanity, tries to escape an invisible menace in the woods.
