Our favorite post punk rock from Vienna LORRAINE are about to release their new 7” EP called “Gimbal Lock / Pitch/Roll/Yaw” on August 16th via Time As A Color Records (Germany), My name Is Jonas Records (Austria), Art For Blind Records (Irland), Dingleberry Records (Germany), Laselife Records (Austria), Stereo Dasein Records (The Netherlands), France’s Désertion Records (interviewed for IDIOTEQ earlier this year) and Spanish label Krimskramz. To celebrate, they will be heading for a brief tour with Scottish emotive post hardcore band CAVALCADES (featured on IDIOTEQ in an exclusive song premiere & interview earlier this year) in late August. “Gimbal Lock / Pitch/Roll/Yaw” reveals the visceral building blocks of LORRAINE’s natural, heartfelt post punk backbone and it really echoes the past without being trapped by it.
