Post rock act SIGNAL FROM EUROPA streaming new EP

1 min read

With their name referring to one of my favorite movies of all times, “2001: A Space Odyssey” by S. Kubrick, Gdansk based instrumental post rock act SIGNAL FROM EUROPA seems to be a band just waiting to explode into the wider instrumental music scene. Their new EP “Dusty Monuments” has been released for streaming and it’s the work of intimacy and honesty. SIGNAL FROM EUROPA take some of the most exciting cosmological images and concepts and turn it into something magical and at times deeply beautiful. Hopefully they’re here to stay. Listen below and tell us what you think in the comments below.

Geo-Curio:

Europa is the sixth-closest moon of Jupiter and the sixth-largest moon in the Solar System. The apparent youth and smoothness of the surface have led to the hypothesis that a water ocean exists beneath it, which could conceivably serve as an abode for extraterrestrial life.

NASA’s Europa Multiple-Flyby Mission (Europa Clipper) is currently in development and it is set for a launch in the 2020s. It’s being developed to study the moon through a lander and a series of flybys.
