Post rock gods return with “Falling Leaves”

June 12, 2024
1 min read

The legendary post-rock band GOD IS AN ASTRONAUT is back with a new track, “Falling Leaves,” from their highly anticipated album “Embers,” set to release on September 6, 2024. Known for their inspiring, creative, emotional, and beautifully crafted music, this single is a seven-minute and fifty-seven-second journey through lush soundscapes, ethereal melodies, and intricate instrumentation.

The track exemplifies the band’s ability to create deeply emotional and cinematic music that transports listeners to otherworldly realms. Nothing new, right?

Alongside the core members—Torsten Kinsella (guitar, piano, synths, backing vocals), Niels Kinsella (bass), and Lloyd Hanney (drums)—the album includes notable guest performances. Jo Quail graces the album with her cello across multiple tracks, while Dara O’Brien returns with an array of traditional ethnic instruments, including the sitar and shamanic drum.
