Posthumous Joey Ramone album to be released in May

A posthumous album by Joey Ramone, entitled “Ya Know”, will be released on May 15th. It will be his first solo album since 2002’s “Don’t Worry About Me”, which surfaced a year after his death from lymphoma.

The album will contain several incomplete demos (including “Rock & Roll Is the Answer,” “New York City” and “Waiting for That Railroad”) by the late punk icon had written for both the RAMONES and solo projects. Overdubs were recorded in New York City in 2010 and provided by Joan Jett, Steven Van Zandt from the E STREET BAND, Richie Ramone (also a one-time member of the RAMONES) and members of CHEAP TRICK.

In regards to the making of the record, producer Ed Stasium told Rolling Stone,
