Scarier Than Jason Voorhees At A Campfire – pop punk rockers NEW FOUND GLORY share new Halloween themed video

1 min read

Pop-punk vets NEW FOUND GLORY have released their video for new single “Scarier Than Jason Voorhees At A Campfire”, featuring some of your favorite classic horror-movie characters.

Guitarist Chad Gilbert comments: “This video is about a guy who has seen way too many horror movies growing up. They never bothered him before. But his fear about starting his new relationship has triggered him where in moments of fun he only sees HORROR! Perfect time for Halloween. We are so excited to pay homage to all of our favorites. And pumped to give this song that’s later on our new album some love!”

Lyrics:

I’m on the far end of the couch
You must think I’m introverted but I’m furthest from that
Can you see my teeth chatter
From the nerves that I have
The fear of getting closer and you running out
Leaving me in a fragile state
But you say it won’t end up that way
So you stay with me longer
And your lips touch mine so divine

You don’t like horror movies
This is way more frightening than them
Nothing more scary to me
Than falling in love again

Click on the TV and I’m flipping through
To distract my awkwardness and my feelings for you
I can see you scoot closer
My blood pressure is up
So I change another channel and I stop on Friday the 13th
You cover up your eyes with your hair
You say it gives nightmares
Trust me not as much as love
Then your lips touch mine
So divine

You don’t like horror movies
This is way more frightening than them
Nothing more scary to me
Than falling in love again

It’s so predictable in film what happens
It’s stressful at first but the good guy always wins
But with you there is a risk of unknowing

If you’re sweet at first but will stop my heart in the end
