Scion A/V presents: Fall Into Darkness Festival 2012

Scion A/V presents: Fall Into Darkness Festival 2012, to tae place in Portland, OR on October 5-7, 2012.

Here’s the official word:

Now in its fourth year and fifth iteration, Portlandโ€™s premiere annual art-metal festival continues its tradition by bringing the best and loudest dark, underground artists to the cityโ€™s finest stages. Curated as always by Nathan Carson (Nanotear Booking, Witch Mountain), this yearโ€™s lineup promises classic doom, unearthly drones, tranquil midnight woe, and blasting metal musics.

In years past, Agalloch, Sunn0))), Wolves in the Throneroom, YOB, Amorphis, and many more have headlined Fall Into Darkness and its one-off predecessorโ€”2008โ€™s March Into Darkness. In 2012, prepare to slip into a poison pond with Worm Ouroboros (SF, CA), be born again too late with doom pioneers Saint Vitus (LA, CA), and reach new modern classical drone-depths with Wolvserpent (Boise, ID). A very special debut from VHร–L will also be presentedโ€”the new supergroup featuring the talents of John Cobett (Ludricra, Hammers of Misfortune), Sigrid Shei (Hammers of Misfortune, Amber Asylum), Aesop Dekker (Agalloch, Ludicra, Worm Ouroboros) and Mike Scheidt (YOB).

Thanks to improved sponsorship, the first night of the festival is free. And at advance ticket prices, the entire weekend is only $22. Portland, you are very welcome. Join us.
