1 min read

Featured on IDIOTEQ in early 2015, gloomy shoegaze / ambient artist, who has recently released his 20-track LP on Hellur Records, comes back with a new single called “Open Casket Hidden Meaning”, which is an implressive soundtrack for a cozy night of contemplation. A very nice and appropriate starting point for more exciting recordings from MOLLY DRAG. Taste it below.

MOLLY DRAG commented:

This song is about the first open casket funeral I ever attended as a child and also about the death of my first pet Noah the yellow lab.

The band will be doing a live show on May 16th at Pact Bar in London, Ontario with NOTTA COMETTHE WRITERS’ SOCIETY, and LITTLE COYOTE!

things i never wanna saw
vibrance always turn to grey
its my fault i dont believe
so dont waste time saving me

i descend into your arms
addicition always has its waste
but your hands were on my face
and you were suffocating me

my coffin thrown into the ground
fills the empty spaces here
i am the blood, you are the crown
she feels the bodies buried there

they sell only rotten fruit
i am still in the midst of pain
our shapes only seem acute
i am frozen in refrain

its crawling up my leg
begging me to stay
what can i do?

my body starts to ache
but i wont fight fate
so i let it die
