I’ve been following SILVERSTEIN since their early days, and their rookie years really had a grip on me. It’s great to see how they’ve evolved, and I’m still on board. Their latest single, “Confession,” continues to show they’ve got something left to say, even after all these years.
With their 25th anniversary coming up, the band decided to go big—really big. They headed out to the deserts of Joshua Tree to push their creative boundaries. What came out of that? A double album, Antibloom / Pink Moon, set for release on February 21, 2025, via UNFD.
It’s a milestone they’ve clearly poured everything into. As they put it, “We felt incredibly inspired, and put everything we’ve learned / felt / experienced into this double-album.” You can tell they’re taking stock of their entire career, saying this album represents “the absolute collection of our musical style and ideas we’ve pioneered over these years.”
Their new single, “Confession,” which just dropped alongside a music video, is a solid example of what’s coming. It’s a melodic, introspective track, dealing with accountability—owning up to your mistakes.
It follows the earlier release of “Skin & Bones,” and the mood of “Confession” is heavy but direct. Frontman Shane Told explains, “Early on working through our initial demos I knew this one had something very special in it. It was fun to craft this one in the studio and perfect it.” He’s not wrong about the emotion behind it—it’s got a weight that really sticks with you. Told even goes so far as to say it’s one of their strongest singles yet because of its focus on “the message, melody, and emotion.”
On top of the album news, they’re also gearing up for a major European tour in March 2025, and it’s shaping up to be a solid run. They’re bringing along THURSDAY, THE CALLOUS DAOBOYS, and BLOOM, so it’s a stacked lineup.
What’s cool is that fans will get to vote on the setlist, so they’re making it a real celebration of their entire discography. The band is definitely looking forward to it, saying, “We are looking forward to our largest European tour ever this March!” Tickets are already on sale, so you might want to grab them before they’re gone.
