SINGLE MOTHERS have signed a deal with Dine Alone Records!
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
London, ON quartet Single Mothers have made a compelling case for how red flags, stacked odds and strike outs can somehow inspire a collective recklessness to keep at it.
Known for their dangerously explosive live show and the palpable tension that bleeds into their music, the band achieved a cult following upon releasing their Single Mothers EP in early 2011.
They’ve since garnered praise from the likes of Brooklyn Vegan, and Punk News, plus sessions with Noisey (VICE), Daytrotter and more.
The last year has seen Single Mothers play countless illegal shows, a 33-date North American tour with Title Fight, plus opening slots for Fucked Up, and Touché Amoré, and currently a handful of Canadian and US dates with post-punk legends Quicksand.
Single Mothers will be supporting The Bronx across the UK this February, and will lead up to SXSW with a US east coast tour. Click here for all tour dates.
The band will be taking a short break from touring this winter to record their debut full-length album with The Bronx’s Joby J. Ford in Los Angeles – with 2013 release plans under Dine Alone Records (Canada).
WHAT THEY SOUND LIKE
“Single Mothers [have] a fervent energy that harks back to a time when punk was truly for degenerates and damaged weirdos.” – Punk News
