Spanish punk rockers WARSONG return with a new 12”! European dates announced!

1 min read

The newest EP from Spanish punk rock act WARSONG has an interesting feeling of continuation. Their musicianship makes one eager to see what they have in store and this new effort is still working its magic, blending all kinds of punk-related subgenres, garage, post punk, alt rock and more styles. Listen below and catch them live on tour in August!

Get your physical copy on July 25th via Dirt Cult Records (North America), Sabotage Records (Europe) and Too Circle Records (Japan).

Dirt Cult Records commented:

After leaving their mark on three continents, Zaragoza, Spain’s WARSONG are back with a new 12″, their first sung entirely in Spanish. This is their most complexly rich record to date – an arresting soundtrack for dark times. Those who have been following this band for a while will also notice less distortion, longer and more elaborated song structures, and an unexpected treat on “Dejando Atrás” featuring guest vocals from the singer of ACCIDENTE (whose new LP will also be released on Dirt Cult in 2016). I’d be hard pressed to find a current comparison because WARSONG has few musical contemporaries- they are truly carving out their own path. I hear the convergence of diverse elements such as THE ONLY ONES, early NEW ORDER, the WIPERS, SONIC YOUTH, and THE RAMONES blended up and spewed out against the neoliberal end times.
