Swedish blackened metallers BLODSKAM raise “This Lonely War” – new track streaming

1 min read

Following on from the release of their 2019 debut, black metallers BLODSKAM make a dramatic return this September with the release of Ave Eva, their most brutal offering to date.

Over six songs, the duo reinterpret and explore the biblical and destructive force of Eve, by retelling the story of her bloody mission to destroy Earth, slaughter its creatures and undo God’s creation to restore infinite chaos.

Formed in 1998 by brothers Aghora and Dödfödd, the band lay dormant for many years before resurrecting itself in 2014 and partnering with Suicide Records in 2019 for the release of their debut. On their debut, Là-Bas – a unique piece of twisted black metal – Blodskam gained a devoted underground following and were even praised on national television in their native Sweden.

Now, with Ave Eva, the band forge ahead with a sensational new chapter.

A raw, murky, and riff-laden episode in their bizarre canon, as fast and relentless (‘Perverse Creation’) as it is bleak, epic, and quite possibly unfit for mental cognition (‘Chaos Reigns’).

Blodskam

Recorded by Johan Hjelm and mixed and mastered by Magnus “Devo” Andersson (Marduk, Funeral Mist etc) at Endarker studio, Ave Eva by Blodskam is released 23rd September on Suicide Records and can be pre-ordered here.

BLODSKAM is: Aghora – Guitars, Bass, Lyrics, Dödfödd – Vocals, Lyrics, Additional musicians; Kim Filppu – Drums.
