The now-defunct emo post hardcore / screamo band DISEMBARKED has unveiled a new collection of rare and unreleased songs on Dog Knights Productions, featuring an amazing artwork by 901000, and insert artwork & layout by Sebastian Campbell. The full record is now available for streaming, along with a special commentary from the label below.
‘Everything’s Wrong’ is a collection of 14 songs by Disembarked; one of my all-time favourites from the Dog Knights family, and a band that is deeply special to me for a number of reasons. We released their second EP ‘I Do Nothing But Regret The Fact That I Left’ on vinyl back in 2013, which was a landmark release for us while we still trying to find our feet as a label, and this release directly led do a string of amazing opportunities and life-long friendships. We also released the incredible ‘Nothing’s Wrong Here‘ LP (sadly their only full-length, we were hoping for many more) in 2014.
We’re delighted to finally share these unreleased songs after having them stored on a work hard-drive for the best part of three years; exclusively enjoying them to myself; but also saddened to remind ourselves that these are the last songs we’ll ever hear from Disembarked. ‘Everything’s Wrong’ is being released as a limited one-time pressing on a beautiful picture disc record, which was meant to coincide with a string of farewell shows planned for 2020, but coronavirus reared its ugly head so those were ultimately cancelled. The first two tracks ‘550’ and ‘Emaciated’ are brand new songs that were written in 2017, while the third track ‘Bruised Knees’ is a re-worked version of an unreleased song, pre-dating their first EP. Tracks 4-8 are taken from the ‘I Do Nothing…’ EP that was released through Dog Knights and sold out quickly, and tracks 9-14 are from their self-titled EP which up until now, has only been available on a self-released by the band way back in 2012.
