Raein are an Italian emotional hardcore and screamo band from Forlì whose catalogue reaches back to a self-titled release from 2001. “Il N’y A Pas De Orchestre” followed in 2003, and the years after it produced a long run of splits and shorter releases with bands including Loma Prieta, Funeral Diner, Ampere and Daitro. Persistent Vision Records reissued that album and released “A Collection of Splits and EPs 2004 - 2015” in August 2024, both remastered by Will Killingsworth at Dead Air Studios, and “Forme Sommerse” followed in 2025.
The Ampere / Raein split and “Perpetuum” document the mid-2010s period. Raein played “Il N’y A Pas De Orchestre” at the Venezia Hardcore Fest in 2023, the festival’s tenth year, billed among veterans of the Italian scene. Credited with carrying late 90s screamo into the European scene, they were booked for Rites of Spring Fest 2026 in Munich beside Weatherday.
