Texas hardcore band BEYOND REACH have unveiled their new song “No Shrine“, coming from their upcoming self-titled EP, recorded, mixed, and mastered at Blackroom Studios.
“We have all always played music, and when the project’s songs started coming together, we all really felt good about the sound and direction and knew it was something we wanted to turn into an actual band. Since forming, we hit a few bumps and snags along the way, but we are extremely excited to release new music. A special thanks to all the local bands, community, and promoters for welcoming us with open arms.” – comments the band for New Noise Magazine.
Beyond Reach is a relatively new hardcore band that emerged in the South/Central Texas area towards the end of 2020. They remain true to the original hardcore sound, and have already released a few records, including their 2022 two-song promo release.
The band was formed by Ruben Rojas and Cee Perez, who had been working on music together for some time. They connected with Brandon Jimenez, Christopher Almendarez, and Jake Gallegos (who was formerly the vocalist) to establish Beyond Reach. The band wasted no time in releasing their first single and performing at venues in Central and South Texas. However, Jake had other commitments and could not stay with the band, so Jimenez switched from bass to vocals to complete the remaining shows. After finishing those performances, the band decided to retain Jimenez as their frontman and added Kevin Cale (who was formerly with Rain Check and Dozer TX) as their bassist.
After releasing “Promo 22”, Beyond Reach regrouped and immediately resumed playing shows to further establish their presence in the Texas Hardcore scene.
