Today, a little over a year since the release of their EP “The Sickness Called Despair” on London based The Coming Strife Records, DAZE Records welcomes Fort Worth, TX metalcore band Since My Beloved to their roster with the release of their new EP, One Day Away.
The EP consists of four tracks that explore themes of pain and loss, featuring a darker sound than the band’s previous work.
Since My Beloved draws inspiration from bands such as Prayer For Cleansing and 7 Angels 7 Plagues, and has been compared to modern acts like Wristmeetrazor and their labelmates A Mourning Star.
The EP was recorded in various sessions over the course of a year, with each song built around specific riffs that showcase the band’s impressive guitar work. The vocals on the EP are appropriately aggressive, with the only break from the heaviness coming in a brief melodic moment on the track “My Heartache Is Measured By The Acre.”
To celebrate the EP, the band has a hometown release show at Growl Records on April 26th, and they’ll then make their way to the Northeast for select shows with Torena, Hate Still Burns, and Adrienne. Full dates below.
One Day Away is available now through DAZE on CD and digital.
Since My Beloved is Paul Cole – Vocals, Omar Rivera – Guitars, Christian Smith – Bass , Nathan Houk – Guitars, and Foch Bailey – Drums.
