Washington D.C. based pop punk / garage punk rock band THE SPLIT SECONDS have recently premiered a new music video for their song “Cutting Out”, coming from their new record “Center Of Attention”, slated for a March 10th release via our friend label Altercation Records.
Formed in 2015, The Split Seconds exploded onto the DC music scene with their unique style of no-frills classic pop-punk. Rising from the ashes of Dischord Records’ The Coastals, frontman Drew Champion sought to put together a project combining the energy of late-70’s Punk with undertones of 60’s pop, and garage rock.
Joined by drummer Sean Peterson, bassist Stephen Parsons, and guitarist Alex Massi, The Split Seconds have brought their sound to enthusiastic audiences at DC-area punk clubs.
The Split Seconds’ self-titled LP was released in July 2016 to critical acclaim, featured on outlets including The Washington Post, Punknews, Dying Scene, New Noise, and Idobi Radio.
In late 2016 The Split Seconds signed to Altercation Records, and will spend 2017 touring, recording, and performing at festivals including South by Southwest and The Antisocial Camp-Out.
