Legendary Bay Area punk rockers Rancid are back with their 10th studio album, Tomorrow Never Comes, released on Epitaph Records. The title track for the album just landed online and you can hear it right here!
With over a quarter-century of experience, Rancid has cemented itself as a powerhouse in the punk rock world. Formed in 1991 by Tim Armstrong and Matt Freeman, the band has since expanded to include Lars Frederiksen and Branden Steineckert.
Through the years, Rancid has remained fiercely independent, tackling political and social issues through their music while maintaining an unwavering loyalty to their community and each other.
Tomorrow Never Comes showcases the band’s continued commitment to the punk rock genre and their ability to balance personal tales of love, loss, and heartbreak with their signature attitude. The album features 15 tracks, each providing a unique listening experience. From the high-energy opener “One Way Ticket” to the reflective closing track “The Bloody and Violent History,” Rancid takes listeners on an emotional journey that’s sure to resonate with fans old and new alike.
Some of the standout tracks from Tomorrow Never Comes include the catchy “Live Forever,” the anthemic “Prisoners Song,” and the hard-hitting “Hellbound Train.” The album’s title track, “Tomorrow Never Comes,” encapsulates Rancid’s punk rock spirit, delivering an unforgettable message of living in the moment and seizing the day.
With their new album and upcoming tour, Rancid continues to carry on the traditions and spirit of the original punk rock bands that inspired them. As a living embodiment of East Bay punk, Rancid remains a legend and a source of inspiration for punk bands that have come after them. If you haven’t listened to their music yet, it’s time to turn up the volume and experience the raw power of Rancid.
In support of their new album, Rancid has planned an extensive touring schedule for 2023.
