On December 28, 2024, Baltimore saw a storm at Ottobar when Trapped Under Ice took over the stage, backed by the thunder of Brendan Yates (singer of Turnstile and TUI’s original drummer).
The crowd was charged, moshing nonstop under the watchful eye of local legend John Waters, who observed from a balcony seat like a proud patron of the city’s underground culture.

Ottobar owner Tecla Tesnau summed up the night in her own words, saying: “What an incredible show!
“It is going to be one of those shows that people talk about 20 years later. Not only did TUI put on a killer show, the energy of the crowd was unmatched. I’ve never seen an audience so jizzed up to be there, you can practically smell the excitement in the video!”
It all went down as part of Ottobar’s new live YouTube series, with this performance standing as the very first release in that lineup.
The vibe was pure, unfiltered energy: Baltimore hardcore at its rawest, playing out in real time. The combination of TUI’s intensity and the crowd’s unbridled enthusiasm forged a moment that some are already calling legendary.
