Celeberating 15 years of their career this year, Italian melodic punk rockers BULL BRIGADE are releasing a new album in September and to celebrate, they have recently unveiled a new single featuring legendary Roddy moreno, singer of The Oppressed, and early European promoter of S.H.A.R.P. (Skinheads Against Racial Prejudice). Today, we have teamed up with the band and Roddy to give you their special commentary about the single and share some more details about the upcoming LP in the process.

Fifteen years of career is no small achievement, especially if spent on stages soaked in blood, sweat and tears. The story of Bull Brigade is the one of a band that finds in live shows its moments of catharsis and these years of genuine and honest passion have led the group to forge its name and its credibility, not only in strictly in punk, but beyond.

To celebrate this milestone, Bull Brigade have announced the release of a new album, “Il Fuoco Non si Spento”, coming out in the next few months. The news has been spread on the wave of the publication of “Quaranta”, the first single that anticipates the new full length, which sees as illustrious guest Roddy Moreno, frontman of the British band The Oppressed, a key figure in the punk subcultures.

Bull Brigade comment on the single thus: “Forty is a critical snapshot of the life of a forty year old man who continues to live as if he were still in his twenties: dreams, uncertainties, fears, mistakes, the frantic “everything to do” and that eternal desire to leave. Punk means it’s not over. The song was written by Eugenio in a particularly difficult and complex moment of his life.”

Roddy Moreno adds: “”I was so happy to be asked by my friends of Bull Brigade to contribute my voice their great song “40 Years”. Especially as it’s the 40th year of The Oppressed. We last played with Bull Brigade in Brixton, London. It was of course an Anti Fascist concert and I am always happy to collaborate with like minded people. Congratulations to Eugenio and the lads for keeping it real and always keeping the faith.”

BULL BRIGADE have a visceral relationship with live music, something that has been missing in a sensitive way in this last year and a half.

Therefore they have decided to accompany the release of the single a series of summer dates, in acoustic format, to retrace the life of the band in its most significant songs and that will lead them to warm up the engines in sight of the release of the album, which will see concerts and tours to sing along the band these the new songs, as well as those, now become classics, of these three decades of activity.
