Turnstile have announced their new album Never Enough, due out June 6th. It’s their first full-length release since Glow On and arrives after a four-year break that saw the band’s reputation grow far beyond hardcore circles.
Alongside the announcement, the band shared the album’s title track, now streaming everywhere. The video for “Never Enough” was directed by Brendan Yates and Pat McCrory, highlighting the band’s continued hands-on approach to their visuals.
The album was recorded between Los Angeles and the band’s hometown of Baltimore, and produced by vocalist Brendan Yates.
According to the official release, Never Enough is an expansive collection, continuing their push beyond genre lines. While there’s no press quote from the band, the messaging surrounding the record suggests a more restless and transformative direction.
Turnstile are also set to tour heavily this year, with confirmed appearances at Primavera Sound in Barcelona (June 7) and Porto (June 14), Outbreak Fest in London (June 13), Hellfest in France (June 21), Jera On Air in the Netherlands (June 28), Glastonbury (June 29), Ottawa Blues Festival (July 12), and Aftershock in Sacramento (October 3).
The band’s current lineup includes Brendan Yates (voice, synth, keys), Franz Lyons (bass), Pat McCrory (guitar), Daniel Fang (drums), and Meg Mills (guitar). The new material will be the first full-length offering featuring this five-piece configuration.
Never Enough follows Glow On, a record that earned Turnstile four Grammy nominations and solidified their crossover impact.
There’s no hyperbole from the band in this rollout—just the facts: a new record, a new song, and a summer tour.
Let’s see what happens.
