London hardcore veterans KNUCKLEDUST have shared their crushing new single “Kings and Toys”, the first track off of their new comeback EP “…In Plain Sight“, set for release on October 28th via their record label Time Won’t Heal This in collaboration with Bloodblast / Believe.
“… In Plain Sight” was written during the pandemic last year and will be kicked off with KNUCKLEDUST’s sold out show at the 100 Club in London.
“‘Kings and Toys’ is a crazy fast paced video with lots of violence, as usual for us.” – says Drummer Ray Bussey. Director Jean-Christian Larche, who directed our video to ‘Life Struggle’, has once again come up with the goods.”
Lyrics below:
Times changed so much
Need aim for a different prize
Can’t let my child grow on
Just bellyfull of plain rice
I hate the feeling of starvation
So prefer the youth survive
Still give thanks everyday I wake
Can’t lose we got to rise
Many face horrors and suffer the strife
Faced much struggle as we wander through life
Roaming this place where corruption runs rife
Stuck in it, like we’re trapped under the ice
If this is life its far from being nice
Tomorrows not promised could be anyone who dies
Traps set around us toyed with like mice
Failure seems certain, still a king must try
Nothings ever changed
Living in this world
Nothings ever changed
Fighting to survive
Won’t fall to my knees I won’t beg to the sky
When all they’ve feed us is lie upon lies
Tears won’t fall from these eyes won’t let out a cry
Won’t expose weakness to those who are red eyed
In the eyes of these perilous times
Concealed in plain sight don’t ignore the signs
When senses tingle or alarms start chime
Trust yourself your souls deeper than mines
Nothings ever changed
Living in this world
Nothings ever changed
Fighting to survive
Fight – Never let anyone tell you what you can’t do
To Survive – Hype won’t last but hard work will lift you
Fight – Can’t please everyone so to yourself stay true
To Survive – Focus on the journey and you will get through
Hype won’t last but hard work will lift you
