Ukrainian mathcore unit АНТАЙТЛД push their sound into darker, more chaotic territories with their latest single “потужна” (translated as “Powerful”).
The track, accompanied by a surreal, unsettling music video directed by Dmytro Khytryi, continues the band’s exploration of dissonance, irony, and raw aggression.
Formed by Eugene Tymchyk—known for his work in Septa, The Nietzsche, and Nekura—АНТАЙТЛД brings together musicians from Rabbit Leader, Guerilla Noir, and Garmata Syndicate.
Unlike their past projects, this one fully embraces a confrontational metalcore sound, laced with Tymchyk’s trademark bitter humor and postmodern lyricism.
“While an absolute shitstorm is happening at the moment, here’s our next effort into dissonant fierce math-y music,” Tymchyk states. “Don’t try to translate the lyrics though, too grim.”
The band’s third single, “потужна,” directly engages with the theme of totalitarianism, reflecting on its psychological and societal impact. The music video takes a surreal turn, presenting a game show-inspired setting with heavy influences from Late Night With the Devil, Alan Wake, and Twin Peaks.
“Our latest video revolves around the idea of a weird game show,” Tymchyk explains. “The grim reality of the song’s lyrics slowly creeps in and breaks the fourth wall—taking its grip on the host.”
Produced, mixed, and mastered by Roman Bondar (Space of Variations, Septa), “потужна” is the third single from АНТАЙТЛД’s upcoming EP ІПІ (translated simply as EP), set for release on March 28 via Venona Records.
With influences ranging from Knocked Loose, Dillinger Escape Plan and Converge to Norma Jean, АНТАЙТЛД carves out a space where ferocity meets darkly ironic storytelling, offering an unfiltered perspective on modern existence.
