Little Low and Unseemlier are releasing a split single on October 3, timed with their upcoming shows and Unseemlier’s first tour, which includes appearances at Fest 23 in Gainesville, Florida.
Unseemlier’s contribution, “I’d Quit This Band If I Weren’t Financially Invested,” was written, as the band explains, “about watching helplessly as you grow away from someone.
Taken away by the tides, someone you no longer recognize, you reflect on how to fix things or if it’s even possible.” The track was recorded by Kyle Paradis of Oh The Humanity! and mastered by Zach Weeks at God City in Salem, Massachusetts.

The Boston group released their debut album “I Have a Screw Loose, Somewhere” on June 13 via Sell The Heart Records.
Running 23 minutes, the record was written in the aftermath of frontman Mike Assatly’s return to Massachusetts after nearly a decade in California. Founded in fall 2023, Unseemlier formed around Assatly, Chris Pina, and Kevin Merriam, childhood friends who quickly wrote their first tape. Shortly after, Andrea Neuenfeldt joined on bass and vocals.

Their debut album rips through themes of addiction and loss, suburban isolation, and the effort to keep a positive outlook. “I Have a Screw Loose, Somewhere” documents what they describe as emo nostalgia and a shared drive for raw, unapologetic music.
Unseemlier will be on the road throughout October, including a Tampa Pre-Fest show and a slot at Fest 23:
October 8 – O’Briens, Allston, MA w/ Squint, Prim, Sowing
