WATERED was founded in 2010 as a jam project influenced by the fascination with bands like This Will Destroy You. After a few months these jams were canalized into songs and the band started to play the first local shows in 2011. The same year they entered the Studio to record their first full-length ‘To Those Who Will Never Exist’ which was self-released by the end of the year and received many good reviews in various online magazines. The album contains a well-balanced mix of melodic, quiet and heavy parts and songs sometimes combined with electronic or vocal samples. In 2012 they got the chance to play shows with bands like Omega Massif, Kerretta, Light Bearer and sleepmakeswaves in order to promote their first release. 2013 they started song-writing for their second full-length which lead the band into a more dark and extreme direction – The slow parts became more doom, the quiet parts more ambient, the heavy parts became more metal and the fast parts more hardcore. Early 2014 the band entered Eiszeit Studio to record these songs under the title ‘Some Are Born Into The Endless Night’ which was released in May via AENTITAINMENT on 12″ and CD. The release was followed by a 7 day tour through Germany and some festival shows in summer. 2015 the band got to play the first Vivid Festival in Norway with bands like Tides From Nebula. The band is currently writing songs for a split with Terraformer from Belgium that shall be released in late 2016.
