Alt rock act WEATHERS have debuted a new music video for their post rockish song “Crystal Landing”, teasing their debut record “Germinatio”, to be released in early December, offering more conventional rock schemes than the single below, but hooking the listener with unconventional riffs and towering interesting vocal lines. As if we didn’t need more reasons to get nostalgic about the 90s, the video is taking us back thanks to the magic of VHS tape quality. Watch below.
Weathers tenders rock open to the elements. Sometimes aggressive
, as when the wind violently shakes the landscape with threatenin g waves, sometimes light, as when the sun streaks through clouds with golden rays. Time flows, never stops, and will never be twice the same. Depending on the time of day or year, the colours will be sweet, dark, warm or icy. In this image, Weathers trace atmosphere s, psychedeli c abrasive or harsh, aerial or undergroun d, even liquid, moods and functions of the present. This frees the group of influences or specific currents, a looseness reinforced by six individual s with different tastes and without common predilecti ons. After ten years and 150 concerts in SummerSlam , Elodie Marchesani (vocals, keyboard), Clement Steffen (guitar, vocals), Nicolas Ancion (bass), Sebastian Six (drums), Noé Chalon (arrangeme nts, sound) and Denis Natalis (scenograp hy) draw a line under the group of their teens and begin a new chapter, more nuanced and mature, with a debut album planned for late 2016.
Catch the band live at their record releae show at L’entrepot in Arlon, Belgium on December 3rd. Joining them on stage will be rock duo ATUM NOPHI:
